Micro Midas existed between 1993-1999 and were located in Malmö, Sweden. The band had about 40 gigs particularly in southern Sweden but also a few other gigs for example in Norway. When Micro Midas was formed in May 1993 the lineup was Kåre Gundersen on bass and vocals , Fredde Grehn on guitar and Ante Holmqvist on drums. At this time the band was called View, but about six months later we changed the name to Micro Midas. With this lineup we recorded a couple of demotapes and contributed on a couple of compilation tapes and CD´s. In 1995 Jörgen Karlsson joined the band as the new bassplayer, giving Kåre the chance to fully focus on the vocals. This lineup lasted for about a year, when Ante left the band and we were a drummer short. After a few tests of different drummers we found Anders "Lappen" Rosendahl and we recorded another demotape. After about a year, even Anders left the band and once again we were left without a drummer.

Once again we tested a bunch of drummers and finally we found Hasse Månsson and he was the guy we were looking for, this became Micro Midas final lineup. We recorded a 7 song CD (Sell Me Your Smile) in co-operation with Fetvadd Records. The record did sell quite well but most of all it gave us gigs. The autumn of 1997 turned out to be our livegig year! In 1998 we laid quite low with just a few gigs trying to keep the band alive.
In the end of 1998 things started to move again and we realeased a vinyl split-EP with the Norwegian band Tad Pole in co-operation with Fetvadd and Underground Records. This 7" record was released in January 1999 and gave us more gigs again, but in the spring of 1999 the band was very low and finally Kåre chose to leave the band, and then Micro Midas was no more in May 1999.
